Intervention in a 145 m² apartment in the Prosperidad neighborhood of Madrid. A layout is proposed to meet the client’s requirements, in this case, a family with children, by designing a new configuration that addresses all needs for bedrooms and bathrooms. To make the most of the space, the original passage areas are reduced and repurposed as dynamic spaces for family gatherings. The natural light from the main façade is optimized by opening up gaps in the central wall to illuminate these new areas and encourage their daily use. An effort is made to preserve and reuse the elements and materials typical of this type of construction, while also designing new finishes that are consistent with the originals, creating harmony throughout the space.
